Shitty Dream Followed by Good Ones: An Apology to Myself?

I had a few crazy dreams last night/this morning. One of them was definitely a nightmare. My uncle brutally killed his dad, my grandfather. A friend and I were outside a house with the two of them and maybe someone else when my uncle gets a crazy look on his face and takes my grandpa into the garage. We hear some banging noises and for some reason I can't go to him. I can't stop him. But I know it happened so my friend and I run to my car. I get in and realize I have to go see if he's still alive. I leave my key with her and tell her to go get help or something. Then I run to the house and confront my uncle. I'm right inside the front door insisting that I have to get to te garage. I'm not even trying to be sly. I'm just yelling that I have to go there. RIght inside the door is the landing of a stairwell. I'm trying to go up it. He finally relents, he's been pretty strangely nonchalant. I get in the door and turn to my left and my grandpa is hung up right there, trussed up with rope. I can't stop screaming. I stumble out of the house, not knowing or caring where my uncle is. Just screaming.
I woke up so angry and frustrated.. I wasn't quite awake yet. I was angry at my uncle, orf course. But I was furious with myself for not being able to stop it. I woke up fully, calmed myself down, and had some more weird dreams. I only remember parts of them, but they were good dreams...
