So for the teaching English as a foreign language thing, it used to be that you had to complete 14 assignments (including about as many lesson plans) and a 6 hour teaching practicum. They added an online exam thing to replace the send-in assignments with. It has 6 sections with multiple choice, T/F, fill in the blank, and matching questions. Still have to do the practicum, whatever. It says passing is 50%. I'm like, "Whaaaaaaat?" So I take the first test and get 18/30. Holy crap. I had google up and was searching through the manual the entire time. It gave me an hour, which was enough time... But they asked questions about things that they never mentioned in the manual. WTF. And they don't tell you the correct answers because retakes are allowed (for a fee). That was last night . I called and talked to someone about it a little today, felt a little better and went for it. This one was T/F (the other had been multiple choice) and I got 27/28. WHEW. I still had to have google up. The fill in the blank part is probably going to kick my ass.....
And I can wait until highschool's back in session to ask an ESL teacher at IHS to help me with my teaching practicum! Yaaaaay!
I would go to Safeway and do some much-needed shopping, but some driving belt or whatever is being fixed on my car x.x So I'm going to reward myself and play some silly online gamessss.
