HAPPY THANKSGIVING, AMIGOS
I'm downstairs at the computer, making turnips. There's like an apartment down here, with a microwave etc. so I can make food
anyway, our turkey exploded. not literally, but we went to get it out of it's big pan (we being grandma+me+my mother) and the thing basically fell apart. it was disgusting. i mean hilarious. no, disgusting. it fell apart, and now I'm not sure I want to eat it anymore. I don't want to think about eating anything with ribs showing. also, my grandma was holding it by those arm drumstick things and they just PULLED OFF. like she'd ripped the arms off. it was horrifying.
speaking of horrifying, I like dressing up for thanksgiving sometimes, but it's a lot of work. I asked my friends what they wear on thanksgiving, and most of them dress casually. O_o (one said "I don't dress up at all, we just eat hotpot. chinese people don't believe in father thanksgiving.")
I feel like a ho because I had to get stockings at the last second, and they're black, but I feel all sleek and stuff and pretty in them. until I realize I'm surrounded by all of these people from my family.
speaking of family and clothing, my mother is wearing a paisley skirt and my great uncle g is wearing a paisley shirt. FASHION FAUX PAUS GASSP!! but he's allowed to wear paisley shirts because he's gay, I think. if only I'd worn a paisley tie, we could be like Thor, god of paisley.
anyway, turnips are finished. keeping more track of thanksgiving horror later
