You're flesh and blood, there's no excuse
Monday turned out to be most entertaining, got to RC too late for Lucky 9 (venue's fault for altering the door times). Electric Eel Shock were TERRIFYING. Three Japanese guys whose vocabulary consisted of 'you bastards' and 'rock and roll', while playing 'Iron Man'. The drummer was naked as well. Bloodhound Gang were just as hoped, all over the place, raucous, loud, obnoxious. Evil Jared is one BIG motherfucker, and downed a bottle of Jager. Jimmy Pop got some guy in a Scooby Doo outfit to get his cock out, they played enough old stuff to keep people happy, and covered 'Free Love Freeway' by Foregone Conclusion (David Brent from the Office's band, I was the only one who got it). Oh, and notgothdammit was chatted up by a skanky 18 year old girl. BURN! Obsessions afterwards just couldn't complete, although it was nice to see Caz again. And the 'Council of War' with shallowthing and jonthebloody was interesting. I miss our talks like that, gentlemen.
Tuesday I had a day off work, so stayed in bed until the afternoon when I met Frankie, John and Damian in the Speak Easy for a drink or two, before spending the evening fixing Frankie's laptop. Wrestling with Norton and shouting at an NTL internet connection was no fun, but nutella on toast and caramel coffee made things so much more bearable. Walked home in the rain and debated Piracy, but decided a walk out to Notts Uni in the downpour was not in my best interests. Instead, went to the Speak Easy and played on the quiz machine with Allan, ridiculed Pervy Tom and met a couple of the new guys.
Wednesday, back at work. Speak Easy in the evening. Then home, where CIVILIZATION FUCKING FOUR had finished downloading. After half an hour working out the patch, I fired it up. The rest of the evening is a beautiful 3d blur...
Big meeting at work today, no changes for my section, booyah! Seems like everyone else is being shafted though. Damage tonight, if I can rustle up a pound.
Oh, and I've just found out Roxey's coming up for the party :D
