And when we kiss we spit white noise

Yesterday was spent sleeping, followed by manniqueen_'s celebration of becoming OLD. We started in the Pit for cocktails and food, then the Rescue Rooms, finally the Speak Easy, where we saw many random people, including Alex and Frankie, Lisa 'who likes Waterdown' and little Fran (who, having just graduated, made me feel very old indeed). A nice relaxing day in all :)

Today I've spent catching up on everything I missed yesterday, and attempting to sort out shoots for November while waiting for someone to message me from work and tell me my camera's arrived.

And now a Public Service Announcement. All of you, go out and find yourself a copy of 'Boys and Girls in America' by The Hold Steady. You will thank me later. I can't remember I had such an instant love for a band. I think they sound a bit like the Counting Crows and Guided By Voices. AMG informs me that Modest Mouse are a 'similar artist' as well, and some of you like them, right? Seriously, this is good.

In other news, It's Halloween Assault tonight:

Should be a good night :)

nights out, assault, music
