The comfort and the joy in feeling lost

Jun 02, 2006 16:28

It's been a bit of an unusual week, I've been wanting to disappear for most of it. Not running from anything, you understand. Not running to anything either. More running just for the sake of moving. Static never suited me.

Still, various things have conspired and I'm left in Nottingham. The last few days I haven't really done too much, worked night shifts, rested during the day, tried to sleep away my wanderlust. It hasn't worked. Going out last night and seeing julesep and adzzz didn't really help either. Still, Sheffield on Saturday might go some way to clearing my head a bit, even if it is with UoN RockSoc.

So it looks like Damage Inc is moving to Fridays, potentially putting it on a collision course with Assault. The next few months will be interesting, for sure. It also seems that the first one is on my birthday (Friday 14th July, Jack and Coke, thanks). Now in a way this gives me a ready made night out, but in another way I'm not sure I want to spend that day in City, I'm tempted to do something like last year, but I'm not sure what. Still there's the Atmosphere gig, and Flogging Molly Tour around that time :)

This last few days I have been mostly listening to:

Atmosphere - Headshots!
Atmosphere - Overcast
Atmosphere - God Loves Ugly
Murs & Slug - Felt: A Tribute to Christina Ricci
Murs & Slug - Felt 2: A Tribute to Lisa Bonet
Leftfield - Rhythm & Stealth
Leftfield - Leftism
Neil Diamond - Hot August Nights
Neil Diamond - The Jazz Singer

A bit different, there.

If this post seems disjointed, well so is my head. :)

And a final word, because I've only just found out. Third Eye Blind's MySpace page has got a 'new' track to download, and it's fucking PERSEPHONE, from the 'Out of the Vein' sessions. I can't remember the last time I watched my download bar so intently!

work, music, birthday
