I had handed the file to Fred, and I know that Cordy had already read it. And I didn't think she agreed with Angel either.
"What are we going to do. Angel may not take this seriously, but I gotta. We had a mission, and even now, I thought we still had one. I might be able to sing the whole score of The Mikado, but I guess I can't make Angel understand that the fight, it's sitll out there."
I looked at both of the girls, and hoped they were with me.
"We need Lorne and Wesley, as much as I hate to admit that last part. We can't let this kid be the fattened calf." Okay, so I got a funny look.
"I can't help what they put in my head, and no don't go there, they didn't put nothin' in there that was bad. Honest." I hoped they believed that, because I was doing my best to. I was worried, 'cause the Senior Partner's didn't seem to give anything away for free. After all, look at Angel. Something is wrong there.
I sighed, and wasn't sure what we'd do about Daniel Lavaris, Mr. "possession with intent" to do something really nasty. But I knew it had to be something.
"Why don't we try and find Wesley and Lorne, and meet in my office in an hour or two. I can't let that kid, no matter what a dumb ass he is, walk into a death situation and not walk out again. That just isn't me." I wanted to say, "Isn't us" but I had to be sure.
If all else failed, I'd talk to Anne about taking the stupid kid in for a while. Then, he'd at least be away from Angel. 'Course the girl could handle bangers, and haters, and druggies, but this kid? Annie might just kill him herself.
