My summer will consist of a lot of travel. For example, right now I am in East Brunswick, New Jersey at my dad and step-mom's house.
I flew here so that I could pick out and pick up the car my dad is giving me for the summer (that I will pay him back for in part later) and drive for years and years if all goes well for us--me and the car as a duo, I mean. It will take some time to get the NJ plates that I was not planning on. Normally waiting for plates is not a big deal, because you have the temp plates. However, most people don't buy a car and then try to flee the state with it almost immediately, like I am now. I was going to start my drive back to Chicago/Madison/Sioux Center tomorrow, but now I have to wait until at least Wednesday.
In case you were wondering, it's a 2005 Pontiac Vibe in red.
I guess I will get to spend some extra time with my baby brother and some time on the beach. Ideally, I would spend lots of time with my baby brother on the beach. I will also be able to really dig into my reading about teaching English Language Learners and teaching grammar and teaching grammar to English Language Learners. (Apparently one of the best things I can do for my English language learning students is to learn Spanish. Go figure.)
