Henry Pov.
We take down the youngest demon first, Vicki and I have speed on side, the lad had nothing but fear. Then we take the other two, in seconds it's over and I'm swallowed by darkness....

I quickly untie Coreen then walk over to Henry. He's going to die unless I do something about it. But what? He's loosing so much blood and it's not like I can take him to the ER.
I have an idea, Henry might hate me for it but it would save him... Yes, I have to do it, I'm not loosing him.
I lean in, my lips gently touch his, I can feel the warmth moving from me to him, I can feel the pure energy running in-between us. Please let this work, Henry can't die, he just can't...
4 days later....

When I awake its day, I gasp as I realize that I'm awake in the middle of the day and still alive. Vicki is in the room before I can even blink.
"Shh, its okay, it's all okay." She whispers reassured into my ear. Her voice makes my heart pound in my ears...
Wait... My heart hasn't beaten since I was human. Before I can ask Vicki she answers as if knowing exactly what was going around my mind.
"I bet you're wondering why you're still alive after waking up in the day," she smiles as she stokes my face, "You would have died if I hadn't of done it..."
"Done what?"
"I had to turn you human." she mutters before taking my hands and dragging me to a mirror.
In the mirror I see a young human man with no shirt on who was holding hands with a tall, blonde angel.
She turns to face me, "I will have to go soon but now you'll be able to live a long, human life. You can now be so many things, a father and a husband. Now you can live a nice, human life."
I'm totally lost for words; I only manage to ask, "Why must you go when I've only just got you back?"
She pulls me closer, "Time will reveal all and time will mend the heart." she gently kisses me, "Some day soon you'll find a sweet, loving woman that you'll grow old with, have children with..."
I interrupt her, "But it's you I need."
She shakes her head, "It's me you want Henry, you don't need me." With that she kisses me once more then turns into a small butterfly and flies away, leaving me alone wandering why there's a butterfly in my flat.

After that it happened like Vicki had said, Henry fell in love with a young, pretty girl that worked in a book store. To help him get over her Vicki wiped all of his memories of her. She gave him memories of a happy childhood, his first love, his kind mom and dad and the red bicycle with a bell he got for a Christmas when he was twelve.
She watched over him as he married Alice, she saw him get a job as a writer and make millions on his books on vampires. She knew that deep down he remembered her and all their time together as fuzzy dreams.
One day they even bumped into each other in town, he spilt coffee down her cream dress and she laughed.
"I'm so sorry." he gasped.
"It's okay, don't worry." She'd smiled, "Are you okay? You look nervous."
Henry shyly nodded, "I'm proposing to my girlfriend today."
Vicki smiled again, "Good luck." The truth was that, deep down, Vicki hated that he didn't know how much she loved him, how much she needed him. She hated that he would never know all the amazing things they had been through.
You see, in a few years you'll see a tall, blonde woman putting a red rose on a grave, when you'll look at the grave it will read, "Henry Fitzroy, 1990-2030. Beloved husband of Alice and father to Vicki. He fought till his last breath."
Coreen kept working with strange cases till she became friends with a young Vampire and, like Vicki, fell in love with him. Unlike Vicki they were together till the day she died. Mike worked as a cop for a few more years before retiring to Spain. As for Vicki, well let's just say she did many good things and saved many lives but she never loved again.

I'm sorry, I know I said 'Happy Ending' but it was for Coreen. Poor Vicki.
Did you like it? If you did tell me so Jasper Hale and Henry will come and hug you (or Alice Cullen and Vicki).
Love,
Jen.
