(no subject)
Friday night I went to Whitehorse beach with Justin and Sara. Sara and I got there earlier, we met some people that had already set up camp on the beach. We drank Fat Angel beer and made a bonfire and admired the stars and the prettiness of the night. Plans are to go there again, more people, more beer and to actually swim when its not so dark out.
This past Saturday was stellar. I went to Providence and hung out with some new friends and the DEX MIX! Mandy, Suzy, Dex, Ratah(sp?) and I went to the AS220 free show on Empire street to watch Mary Timony and Ted Leo!! Then we went to Bob & Timmy's for yummy pizza and french fries. After buying a 30 of PBR we showed up at Georges dad's house for a party. This house was the most insane and cool looking place that had me perplexed with the oddness of it and everything in it. The house a large box shaped place has almost no windows, I guess they are only in the bedroom. George's dad is an jazz musician and there is alot of musical influence in the house. I wish i had taken more pictures because even though it was described to me I wouldn't believe it unless I was there myself to witness it. A couple bands played it the alcove of a bedroom turned stage in the center of the house that was set far back it also contained two very large wooden swings that hung from the ceiling. I drank beer sat on a large long couch with Suzy, Ratah, and Mandy while watching the bands and people watching as well. I got to play a couple of games of pool once with Dex, and twice with a tall guy names raf(?). I kicked ass more than I thought I would making lots of good shots and Raf and I ended up beating the other team Couch Rick & Ivy twice in a row. After the party I crashed at Mandys and after a late brunch with everyone headed back home to catch up on much needed rest.
I am happy about the meeting of new friends and hanging out in a new city.
