since myspace clearly is not working.
I've lost more than 25 pounds in just over 4 months by dieting alone. Except for one road trip, I've completely cut out fast food. I have limited myself to pizza just once a month. I've had chinese take out even less than that. I'm eating yogurt/granola/fruit salad for breakfast 5 times a week and salad (with some turkey and cheese or chicken salad) 4 or 5 times a week for lunch. I eat a peanut butter and cheerio sandwich (natural peanut butter, a handful of cheerios on light wheat bread) and two cups of Mott's Applesauce (with no sugar added) every night for dinner. On weekends, I've relax the diet a little bit to keep my sanity. My snacks are mostly apples, bananas, or some organic crap. Except for a few light beers a week or the occasional 40 oz. at band practice (hey, i'm lighter now, i get drunk quicker), I'm drinking Diet Snapple, Diet Stewarts Root Beer (no calories), or Diet Sprite Zero. Yeah, I should be drinking more water, but that's a difficult step.
And now I'm going to start exercising. On Wednesday, I played tennis in Brooklyn with Dan which I hope to make a weekly event. He may start coming to Jersey to play on Saturdays. I found a track nearby where I plan to start running a few times a week when A) I get my non-iPod (next week) and B) My legs stop hurting from playing tennis with Dan (hopefully by tomorrow).
I definitely see the changes, and people are work are constantly stopping me and asking if I've lost weight. It's odd that people notice because I'm still wearing the same loose pants as I was before. Maybe they were all looking at my ass, which is much smaller now.
I'm down to my 1996 weight basically, which is awesome because my 10 year high school reunion is in a little over a month. I think I look better, but I can't really say that I feel better. My energy level isn't really any higher than before though, but I guess that will come with the exercise.
I would like to keep going and see how far I can take this because I haven't plateaued yet, and I've gotten used to the salad thing. I've never been skinny and my genetics don't really offer that as a possibility, so I don't have unrealistic expectations, but I definitely have room to shed some more fat and add muscle instead. With the addition of the running I figure I'll be able to cheat on the diet restrictions a little more, maybe have some pasta once in a while. I need to buy smaller clothes.
That is all. Bye.
Oh, and buy
the Wreckers' album. It's less than $10 and it's awesome.
