Okay Prop. 8...
I'm neither for or against same sex marriage. I'm straight, so I really don't care either way. I don't think gay marriages are going to bring disease and pestilence to the world, but I just don't feel strongly toward it either because honestly, I don't know ANY same sex couples at all! So, its more difficult to feel very strongly about an issue that doesn't really affect you on a personal level. For instance, I'm sure not all of you get emotional about One Nation, One Language campaigns, right? You know you don't. lol :-p But I care, because I have a Spanish degree and similarly, how much do you all REALLY know about NCLB? I've learned quite a bit about it throughout this last semester and now I think it is a terrible plan that desperately needs revising. But I digress...
But the reason I rant is this... if the decision was going to ultimately land in the courts, what was the point of the election? Elections are sooo burdensome on taxpayers.
