Empty Fulfillment

Places of unknown certainty
Fill the image of my being
Illuminated dreams become ransacked
A person of dubious destiny that seems immaculate

Distances of unimaginable boundaries
Torn between far off truths and lies of eternity
Warped from excruciating defeats over time
Jars are filled with the countless tears that were cried

Holding onto hope that was never born into existence
Constantly losing every round to the game of life that?s so persistent
Stars dimly shimmer through the silence of night
A heart desperately pounds and a body shakes from fright

Screams with no voice
Giving up remains a choice
Nothing to grasp or cling to
There?s no one there for you

Wandering in empty fulfillment
Left alone in the wilderness
People pushed you to the extreme
And your only knowledge of life is, nothing is, as it seems.
