Yet another night in the ER.
As you all are aware, I'm being groomed to be an Army wife. So, yesterday, psi032 and I went to his boss's home for a nice, casual social outing with all of the battery commanders and higher-ups. I was having a good time socializing when I started to feel a bit nauseous. I'd been standing up for a while, so I sat down and drank some water and took a Tums. I thought it was over, until I stood up again. I decided I wanted some water on my face, so I asked where the bathroom was. I started towards the bathroom and felt unsteady, so I reached for the wall.
And the next thing I remember is waking up on the ground with a cut on my face and a sore knee. The prognosis from the ER doctor was "You fainted. It happens." Which means, once again, I have a medical issue for no good reason.
So, I have two theories on what happened:
1) I've been on ibuprofen for a little bit here (because of my eye, but that is a whole 'nother story Lucy) and I drank a beer. Maybe they caused a bad reaction.
2) Apparently, nausea can cause you to faint. Something about it depleting the blood flow to your brain. (This does not bode well for my future).
So, my very first (and hopefully) last time passing out. It was bound to happen eventually with all my issues!
