Excitement is in the air!
Hi everyone! I found out on last sunday that it's our church's 80th anniversary next sunday! I get to be the cantor that day. The bishop is coming and our old bishop is coming to give the sermon. The best part though, is that Father Mitch is coming! Father Mitch was the pastor that baptized me when I was a baby. He moved to California when I was four or five to be a pastor. He's the coolest Pastor St. Matthew's has ever had. I hope he remembers me. I haven't seen him for a long time. Yay for Father Mitch.
I went and talked to Mrs. Thyparambil today after my voice lesson at Faith! It was fun! We had a very good conversation. Then I went and tried to start my car and it wouldn't so my dad came and rescued me.
We had a debate today in U.S. History about whether we should annex the Phillipines in 1898. I was teamed up with Matt Kisker and Harley Allen. We were for annexation! We went against Emily Bruggeman, Amy Gerdes, and Kellie Bate. I think we did a really good job against them. All of them(especially Kellie) got pretty heated over the whole thing. We went on the offensive and asked questions about statements they made. In the end I think we were victorious. The score hasn't been tallied yet.
