He was already tripping over his own feet; his clothes were nearly soaked wet, his hair stuck to his forehead, but he couldn't stop. He had to prove that he's worthy to be here, that he can be as good and ever better than others.
He tripped again and this time landed on the floor with a loud thud. He wasn't good enough even in something everyone praised him.
Big, disobedient tears started to roll over his cheeks and he bit his lower lip trying to stop them, yet it was useless. They dripped down his cheeks, accumulating on his chin and then dripping on the floor. His breath started to hitch as he was already breathless because of dancing and now because of these foolish water droplets.
"HyukJae?" a voice, that surely belonged to DongHae, said behind him and he stood up, though his legs were still weak and wiped his eyes.
"Yes?" he asked trying to sound as casual as possible.
"Whats wrong?" DongHae obviously entered the rehearsal room as his shoes squeaked on the floor.
"Nothing." EunHyuk tried to brush it away and raised his eyes to meet DongHae's stare trough the mirror. The mirror. DongHae saw everything.
"I'm serious, what's wrong?" he went closer and stopped few inches away from EunHyuk.
"It's really nothing." he tried to smile yet stopped as he was 'forbidden' to smile widely.
"Why are you lying?" DongHae grabbed his forearm and spun him around. "Din't we agree that we will never lie?" he asked staring straight at EunHyuk, yet he turned away.
"I just... it's really nothing." EunHyuk sighed and tried to walk away yet DongHae's grip got tighter.
"Tell me what's wrong!" DongHae almost yelled and let go of his wrist, cupping EunHyuk's face instead and making him look at him.
EunHyuk bit his lip again as he felt his eyes becoming wet again. "I don't belong here." he mumbled, his eyes getting foggy.
"What?" DongHae sounded rather shocked.
"You all always say that I'm here only because of my dancing, but I tend to fail even in it... beside, I'm... I'm the ugly one and I just ruing the picture." he said and tried to break out of DongHae's hold once more but failed again.
"Why would you think like that? Who has called you ugly?"
"Does 'everyone' count?" EunHyuk finally managed to get out of DongHae's grasp, right before tears started to roll down his face again. He already took a step forward to leave, as DongHae stopped him again, this time pulling him closer and for a big shock, crashing their lips together.
EunHyuk didn't know how to react. He liked DongHae, he liked him a lot and probably loved him more than anyone from their 'family', but this...
DongHae broke the kiss, that was rather just a press of lips, and run his fingers over EunHyuk's cheeks.
"You're not ugly. You're cuter than SungMin and handsomer than Siwon." he said, brushing away still wet strands of hair from EunHyuk's face. "You're beautiful." he sang and both of them couldn't help but laugh a little. "Do you believe me?" DongHae asked and EunHyuk really didn't know what to answer.
"I... I don't know."he muttered and only then noticed that he's clenched in DongHae's shirt.
"Would you, please, let me prove that you're beautiful?" DongHae asked and receiving a nod in reply leaned closer to kiss EunHyuk again and this time EunHyuk joined the kiss.
He shouldn't have enjoyed, he didn't want to enjoy, but he enjoyed how DongHae's tongue skimmed over his lips, how it entered his mouth and what and unbelievably perfect sync they found. His arms quite naturally went around DongHae's shoulders and his tightened around EunHyuk's waist.
Unexpectedly EunHyuk even whimpered when DongHae broke the kiss again.
"Let's go, before someone comes in, 'cause this wouldn't be easily accepted." he pecked EunHYuk's lips, then left a peck on tip of his nose and then on his forehead.
"Ok." EunHyuk said and smiled widely, making DongHae smile as well.
"I love when you smile for real." DongHae said and left a kiss on EunHyuk's cheek. He took his hand, entwining their fingers, and led the way.
Somehow DongHae's evaluation meant more than any others and the warmth radiating from his palm made EunHyuk forget anything else.
He was ready to finally see that he's beautiful, if DongHae was the one who proves it to him.
