What I learnt from last night's practise session: My time is more productive when there is a goal to be reached. In the past, I've avoided goal setting out of fear of stymying any sort of spontenaity, but...I work best when there's a goal and perhaps a wee bit of pressure ( Read more... )

I was with you all the way up to "wrestling with doubts as to my worth as a performer".
Get real, woman. No, I mean it. The ONLY person on the planet who has heard you sing and has ANY doubts as to your worth as a performer, is you. I know, for you, it's real. But it's also just silly.
You have some knowledge as to how many performers I've heard over the years; you are possibly the best voice going in Dallas. You have/have had/will probably have again a SOLID band behind you, and some high class fans to boot.
I'm happy to hear such feelings are subsiding...ya should chuck 'em out with the leftover stale green beer from the holiday and enjoy the heck out of your talent.
So there.

Well, thanks for the vote of confidence. I did say I was doing something about it. So. :D
