Okay, so remember what I said about people having little to no consideration for anyone these days? Well.. Brittney and I went to get our nails done today. Normally we go to Andy's, but apparently they're closed on Sundays. Fun fact. Remember that next time. Anyway.. We ended up going to Top Nails. So we walk in and the guy tells us to pick our colors and go sit down. We do as we're told. We sat there talking for awhile, and I keep looking at the clock. Well, pretty soon it had been over a half an hour since we had gotten there, and they had yet to acknowledge us or anything. Now, I understand if you're busy, but then let us know there's going to be quite a bit of a wait. So we decided we were going to leave and go somewhere else. As we're getting up and walking out the door, the guy was like, "Oh no! We ready now! Sit down. We do for you!" I figured, whatever, now that we've waited this long, we might as well get them done here if he says they're ready. I'm actually really happy with the way they turned out and everything, it was just really obnoxious that we sat there for a half an hour and nobody said a word to us until we went to leave. First world problems, for serious.. Lol
I haven't gotten to talk to Ryan yet today. We are texting a little here and there, but I guess one of his boots got in some serious trouble today, so he has to deal with the chain of command. Who knew LCpls had so much responsibility..? Haha :)
I really wish I had more time to read this book than I do. I just read the chapter about Henry going into Nihonmachi and seeing everyone burning all of their things; clothes and pictures and such. I teared up a little bit picturing that, and picturing little Henry watching it.. :( Sad day. Tomorrow should be a pretty chill day, so hopefully I can read a bit.
