I went to the Common concert today.
It was amazing and he can rock a show.
During his opening he talked about Obama. Why he wanted to vote for him. No surprise since he was in one of the videos about Obama.
But Denis asked why one candidate or another on facebook and I could not answer him.
I had nothing good to say.
I am pretty much disfranchised about the whole process.
I know why I am voting for Obama and support him.
I know the politics behind him and some I agree with him wholeheartedly and some I disagree.
But one of the greatest reasons why I am voting for Obama is hope.
Not just for me but for others as well.
I see people and talk to them.
I read and listen.
One thing Obama represents for many people is hope.
Even those who do not believe wholly in his politics believe in the hope he can bring.
Hope for a change.
Hope for something new.
hope.
We all want hope. Humans want hope.
That is what Obama represents Hope.
Hope that anyone can make it.
Hope that any one of us can make a change.
Hope for a country that a lot of people have lost hope. (Most do not want to believe it. But most people have lost hope. They don't vote and they don't care. No one seems to care about them.
Look at a lot of Obama supporters and you will see a lot of people who have lost hope and want something desperately to grab on too.
Now I can talk all day about politics and usually I do.
I think America needs more than just fiscal policies.
I think America needs more than new Iraq policy.
I think America needs more than Universal Health care.
I think America needs more than Nafta.
I think America needs hope.
And yes I do not like the current state of the country. I hate the mentalities of most Americans. I hate most of our education systems and I hate our reliance on money and shaking off all our responsibilities on psychology terms and taking medication. I hate America a lot.
I love somethings a lot to. I am not living it because it is my country also. I have as much rights as anyone else to speak my mind. I will not run in the face of terrorism, nationalism, fascism, and idiocy that has risen in this country. All those who were disfranchised about Communist Russia where called heroes. Here in America we are demonized and told to leave.
I have hope that those people will one day change their mind.
That one day people will want better.
I have hope.
I am voting for hope.
I am voting for a change.
I am voting for Barack Obama.
barack obama,
hope
