Kyle: Holy crap! Bern!
Bernadette: *startled* What is it?
Kyle: He totally just started doing this! *he looks quite enthusiastic!*
Kyle: Hey! Kai! Do it! Ladies love me~
Kai: *He smiles all big!*
Bernadette: *claps and giggles* Oh, there's a handsome smile. You're going to be just like your daddy, aren't you sweetie?
Kai: *big happy smile* : D
Kyle: It's like...there's an actual person in there.
Bernadette: *raises an amused eyebrow and shakes her head* Oh, Kyle. Of course there's a person in there. The older he gets, the more aware he becomes of his surroundings. And the people around him. *smiles* And from the looks of that smile, he really enjoys being around his daddy~
Kyle: *Hey, he's very new at this!* You really think so? Like he really knows who I am? *Unlike time and time before, Kyle seems actually enthusiastic about being a parent*
Bernadette: *nods* The more time he spends with us, the more attached he becomes. And he's only going to become more aware of us with time. *smiles* That's why it's so important for a parent to spend enough time with children.
Kyle: Hunh. Well I guess you're not a holy terror 'cause you can smile, yes you can!

Kyle: ^^ *a nice kiss to his son's bald head*
Bernadette: *smiles warmly at that and gives them both a kiss*
Kyle: I got him a new jumper thing with a message on it!
Kai: *wearing a jumper that says "Breast: It's what's for dinner"*
Bernadette: *sighs but laughs* Indeed it is. For him. I just hope you won't be getting him a shirt with a revised message when he's older.
Kyle: He can do that himself when he's old enough.
Bernadette: Oh no. Not my baby darling. *snuggles Kai* You'll be a good boy for mommy, won't you sweetie?

Bernadette: *smiles* I bet that's a yes~
Kyle: I'm not convinced.
Bernadette: Do you believe he'll be a naughty boy instead?
Kyle: He'll probably be very unique.
Kyle: But I think he'll be kind.
Kyle: I don't know anything about my dad. But I think I'm starting to understand some things. If my mom decided to keep me, then my dad must have been kind.
Bernadette: *embraces him lightly so Kai isn't crushed between them* And she was as well. It couldn't have been easy for her, even if your father was indeed a good man. She loved you very much, I'm sure.
Kyle: Yeah. *he brightens* Maybe this...maybe this is like a way to make things right. Both my parents got taken away from me and I got a little bent in my head because of that. But because I know what bad things can happen, I can make sure Kai grows up strong without being bent in the head.
Kyle: 'Cause maybe...just maybe...*he grins* ...I might finally love the little man.
