He didn’t mind living like Moody had- with few money and less comfort than he’d manage or desire in the same situation. He had been in Azkaban, he had given up his heritage, for his Lord.
Money wasn’t really an issue for him.
He had used it, at first, the small inheritance from a distant relative his father hadn’t bothered to control. It wasn’t what the Lestrange or grand Bellatrix could have used- and he knew, for a thing, that his Lord wasn’t considering his subjects on a financial plan. Faith and fidelity, that’s what counted for him, and Barty, in his young years, was almost relieved of such a state of things. He wasn’t minding the money, now, for it wasn’t what had moved him, not at the beginning nor at the end of his mission.
