Obligatory first day of school post

Aug 30, 2013 23:06

It is entirely characteristic of where my life is at atm that I had every intention of doing this yesterday on the first day of school and totally forgot until today.
Anyho,
Spanish classes should be my priority: introduction to translation and phonetics (which confuses me in English)
I really love my translation teacher, and I appreciate the fact that I am taking phonetics with one of my two Mexican childhood friends who I credit with my almost lifelong desire to learn Spanish.
IS 322 is going to be a lovely discussion of Latin America with Chuck, Cazzie, Beth and coffee.
I was really thrilled with English (he is a fantastic teacher and this paper is really about redemption for me anyway given how last semester went) and with BMA 357--her ambition for the class makes me happy.
Haven't had my bipartisan leadership class yet (but the syllabus looks great) nor has research really started back up yet but I am hoping to be able to do that well.
Work is I think going rather well. I have solidified my appreciation for Peggy with all her many foibles and am now beginning to feel nostalgic in anticipation of when I will no longer work with her.
Other responsibilities---could be better. **Hopefully this weekend will really help.
PR committee is pretty good though. Spencer and I are in a happy place and upon reflecting on that today I suppose part of that is that we have been together three years now and while we still have enough communication issues to ensure a happy marriage (at least from my experience that's necessary ;) I have completely blown past any illusory deadline to begin planning this wedding. I suppose I am most freaked out by the fact this doesn't freak me out. What does make me go gah on the inside is the fact that I will be graduating a year from December. Legitimate question: where did the time go?
