Before people come over

Dec 25, 2007 12:29

(Repost of my holiday message last year, because I'm saving my creativity for when people ask me what I'm doing after I graduate.)

Okay, so I know a lot of you aren't into the religion thing. And many of those who are into the religion thing aren't so much into the Jesus thing. Which is completely fine, clearly, but in any case, I wish everyone a good day today, wherever you are and whoever you're with. May the people you spend time with be joyous and friendly, may your food be delicious, may your toys be lead-free, and may anything you receive be amusing and/or useful (whether for you or for someone it gets regifted to. Hey, I don't judge).

In the words of Gladys Herdman, prophet: Hey! Hey! Unto you a child is born. It's Jesus, and he's in the barn. Go see him.

In the words of Alice Wendleken, know-it-all: His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. (My God, he'd never get out of the first grade if he had to write all that down.)

And in the words of Mrs. Armstrong, who broke her leg and is laid up in the hospital for two weeks: There are no small parts, only small actors.

Insert your own benediction here.
