Young Avengers Childrens Crusade Issue 6! Spoilers Abound!

And things are happening at a breakneck pace.

Wanda is back! Fully powered, fully aware and making her own decisions. I'm just happy to see her focusing on making ammends and not willing herself out of existance, which I was worried would be the end issue (I guess that could still happen but it doesn't seem likely at this point). We still don't have an answer on whether something was controlling Wanda or if she was just driven by her grief and I'm curious to see if they'll delve into it at all. Billy seemed pretty sure and given that he's got about a million mutants to convince not to take a swing at her I don't imagine he's going to stop bringing it up. Assuming Teddy doesn't lock him in the lair after all this.

Oh Billy. Billy, Billy, Billy. Even when Teddy was flying directly between two armies trying to get them to hug it out I'm not sure he was taking as many risks as you are in this thing. The thing is, I buy it. I buy that Billy is identifying more with Wanda than his parents right now, especially since this whole thing started with the Kaplans flinching for the first time at Billy's powers. He's a teenager, I'd be worried if he didn't get alienated from them at some point. I can buy that he'd say anything to get her to stay, but I'm really hoping she doesn't rage out when she meets current Vision (because we know what happens when she finds out she's been lied to BILLY).

On the other hand, the hugging! Of Billy and Tommy! Even something close to a group hug with Tommy "I don't have feelings" Sheppard! Who also got nice things said to him by Wanda! Icon makers! Deploy!
Seriously, even if I wasn't a fan of Wanda that would have brought me around. Tommy does get lost in the background of everyone's drama I think, and it's nice to see his take on things (and be hugged).

I like how they got everyone together. The X-Factor guys got brought over in a resonable way, we got a nice moment with Rictor and Shatterstar and RICTOR IS POWERED BABY. Seriously, if you aren't reading X-Factor, I would highly recommend it.

And we've got some good interactions for the rest of the adults, as well as Jessica, my personal candidate for most reasonable Avenger of all picking up the phone and making things happen. Between her and Beast we might actually be able to get through this with no one dying.

I'm a little worried about next issue - with the X-Men and X-Factor and the Avengers all coming together that is a lot of people with a lot of grudges. The last three issues might well turn out to be everyone taking their turns to yell at each other, because even without Wanda, that is a lot of issues in a little space.

So are Billy's powers back or what? The magic she threw at him looked kinda like what happened to Rictor and if she's going to repower the world anyway...

Final thought - Magneto, Pietro, Wolverine and Wonderman and Ironman all in the same tiny space. That has to have been the most awkward trip in the history of ever. Although it doesn't really answer why Pietro didn't just bail out and RUN BACK when he found out where she was.
