Two years ago there was snow in Pergamino, the town in which I lived for two years and my dad currently lives in.
Pergamino weather is mild and dry, so weather fucked up really good that 9th of July, which is a patriotic day here in Argentina, the Independence was pronounced that day, the 9th July 1816 (duh, it's just a signed paper, then Argentina was a mess, civil wars for 30 years :( I prefer the 25th May 1810 more, the Revoluion BABY!!
Here you can find more inf about Pergamino
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pergamino,_Buenos_Aires_Province We usually conmemorate this day by eating locro, a kind of country stew that is a traditional dish from those times.
I remember to have been in the computer all night long, and at 9 am my dad woke up and went to the yard, finding a light storm outside
with tiny snowflakes showing uo here and there :D That was awesome!
Here are the pics(yes, that's my dad :)
LOL! I actually had to freeze my ass for more than 15 minute for getting that small amount of snow on top of my head.
Pergamino was frantic, everybody went outdoors and tried to make some snowmans, lol, the biggest ones were just
15 centimetres tall (5.9 inches) Then they sticked those on top of their cars (I know, WTF?)and went with their families to parade near
Pergamino's Brook, which happens to be flanked by trees :)
And in the last one, I'm firing a cannon in Pergamino's main square! YAY!
