That was a pleasant little interlude for once. Opportunities such as that do not happen often. I was offered a chance to spend the end of Holy Week with my family, namely my wife, my sister and her husband. It was a good few days.

It was. How was your time here?

And how is your wife, sir? Is she well?

Uneventful. There was an Easter service, which was done very well indeed, but my husband did not attend for he was camping in the CES.

She is quite well, and happy to see me. She asked about you and Doctor Jones. My Jeanne is a very smart young lady.

That much is obvious, sir. I am happy to hear of her good health and spirit.

I am sad that she cannot maintain a household of her own without me there to help, but she and Marguerite seem to get along well enough. Madame St. Just and Lady Blakeney under one roof! I have no idea how Percy stands it.

One imagines he very much enjoys the company of two charming women. Or at least has started to take very long walks.

I suspect that he takes the walks. He used to seem harried by just Margot in the past.
