Those so-called deities aren't invincible after all. If they are, they would have at least protected their building.

Who the hell would have the technology and capability to build a huge and powerful laser like that? Considering the nature of the citizens, I'd say there would be many with the technology, but the capability? Where would they find the resources for a laser? Even the size of it is a hard secret to keep.
The so-called deities? The demolition was limited by the force field after all. For what? A new place? If this place really is on the palm of their hands, they wouldn't have made so much effort when they could just 'magically' have a new one built.
If there are others....I don't like it.
There may be a force field around that demolition but they might hit other buildings. We have to find an alternate shelter, just in case.
