Reflection of thanks to God

Nov 02, 2005 15:57

During this Thanksgiving month, I encourage everyone to take time out of each day (if you don't already do this) and thank God for something wich has been graced or blessed to you. I have started making a list personally. I started it the 1st of this month; and will continue everyday to thank God for something he has bestowed upon me thoughout my life. It doesn't matter if it's great, or small, but being specific about something each day that is especially meaningful to you will be a blessing to you... and to God. my friends and family!...There is SO much in life to be thankful for, and that's where we need to keep our focus, not just on Thanksgiving Day, but every day! I will say no more of Thanksgiving until either the day, or a couple days before. Which, then, I may decide to post my "30 days of Thankfulness" at that time. If I feel it will do any good.
I truly appreciate and enjoy every season, and what it brings:) Fall is such and wonderful time for SO many reasons. being a visual person by nature, I love how God tucks little bits and pieces of beauty into the nooks and cranies throughout nature (his country) knowing that soals like me (that he created) pay attention and see them and feel them and appreciate them with emmense joy! Fall is such a blissful process, and moment in time! I feel that I am by nature a spring person, as far as my character, and personality and soal go. Yet, I GREATLY, if not equally love and appreciate the Fall and fall type people.
Anyway, I stumbled across this poem that God graced me with the ability to recieve. I think it discribe fall so well. may you all equally enjoy it!:)
~ Around The Bend ~

Autum waits around the bend,
So certain of summers end,
Garnering for seasoned bloom
The essence of sweet perfume-
To mix by her alchemy
Fall's exotic potpourri.

And years of growth, age to age,
Throughout life's long pilgrimage,
Prove we become more mature,
Knowing spirit will endure.
Our deeds of faith elevate
The soul to it's high estate!
- Norman V. Olsson

I love the nature where I live right now...Blessed is theSpruce, the Alder, the Lodge Pole Pine, the bushes and shrubs, and the wild flowers; and my favorite the Aspen...Alas, and all the others that I cannot name and identify yet.
With you all inthe thought, heart, and memories;
~me :)

" In nature there's no blemish but the mind; None can be called deformed but the unkind." - William Shakespeare
