(no subject)
The world is spinning. Opening night was last night, and it went well, if not a bit roughly.
Now I get a call from one of the supporting roles, saying he isn't going to be there for the show today. I am livid. It is pure selfishness. I watched people with 102 degree fevers, migraines that where blinding, and stomachs threatening to disperse that days lunch on the stage, still suck it up and go through with the play, and a lot of these people where CHORUS. they where expendable!
His name is blacklisted, thats for sure.
I haven't updated lately, I have been busy with a life that is slowly coming together. I have a good job, a promising education (3.5gpa), and I am in the musical "The Bakers Wife" with an almost fantastic cast (Except for a few key people). I barely have time to breath. But now that we have opened my weekdays are a bit more free.
I know it is strange, the way I am going about living. Most of my past acquaintances from high school are out having the college experience. Going to party's, socializing, living in dorms. I have no desire for any of it. I am living at home, saving my money, working, doing community theater, and striving for straight a's. All I think about is my future career. It is my goal to succeed. Once I do, I have no idea where to go from there. But right now thats enough.
My new professors are fantastic, but the strangest of them all is Ostenso. I tallish, thin man, with dark hair, and dark eyes. Awkward looking, but confident in stride. He has an aura of arrogance about him, but you know he knows what he is talking about. Facial features and build are mimicking European, but smaller, and more compact, with eyes almost undoubtedly Asian. I am not sure if I will be getting an A in his class. It is hard, and he pushes his students. I know a lot of people will be dropping out of his class. I wont be one of them. He is a hard teacher, but I enjoy his class, I learn things in his class.
I might as well get a chapter in of Idoru by William Gibson. An interesting read, I suggest it to anyone who reads this.
