Run heroic marathons to get frozen orbs (and rep).
Mining and mote extractors give me tons of eternals, so no need to buy anything for the crafting.
But mining is boring!
But "RPing" is fun. I RP my hunter as being kind of not quite fully functional in the head, he's in the care of my other character. To earn his keep, the hunter goes out and gathers things, like ore, and gives them to his caretaker.
It suddenly becomes 'fun' for the Hunter to bring the Paladin ore and the Paladin to prospect it and deliver praise according to the amount and what winds up coming out. And because there's no telling how good or bad a prospecting load will be, it's as much a surprise to me as it is to my characters.
The end result is my personal bank being overloading with... stuff, like crappy green gems. I opted to make the green gems into shardables which powerleveled my enchanter's enchanting to 450. I used the vellum from my scribe to do the leveling enchants which I have been selling on the AH.
I found that 7 saronite bars + 2 crystallized air + blacksmith = 1 large dream shard, so I mass-manufactured that and got all the enchanting patterns.
18 days: 1 Mechano-Hog.
Of course, my guildmates told me to go jump off a cliff. (You don't take fall damage when using the item.)
So I wall walked to the dancing troll village and jumped.
The end result can be on this amazing screenshot.
