Finished my Film and Lit final today! Am kind of sad about it being over because our readings for that class were fascinating but also glad that the "HURR DURR ALL FILM CAMERAS ARE THE SAME RIGHT" nonsense is over. Seriously, just...you don't even need to know about movies to know that THAT IS COMPLETELY FALSE what the fuck are you doing

The book "Making Movies" by the wonderful and amazing Sidney Lumet, one of the best directors of our time, is seriously amazingly awesome.
Makes me want to watch "Murder on the Orient Express" again. They don't make 'em like they used to anymore. (though reading Roger Ebert's reviews for horrible movies will always make me smile)

I adore this quote from the book and it makes me love Marlon Brando a lot more:

"Once we were inside, I told him that I might have been able to help him but felt it wasn't my right. He looked at me and smiled as only Brando can smile, so that you think daybreak has come. "I'm glad you didn't," he said."

My major might be sociology but I am finding that my major passion is in film...I don't know what to make of this.

ICON HIGHLY RELATED HNNNGHHH MARCELLO MASTROIANNI
I recently saw "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow". I think the last story didn't work as well as the first two, but Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni are just such stellar actors. They're so committed to their roles, and they look like they have so much fun with it.
Personally, despite how short it was, I really liked the irony of the Milan piece. Though the Naples piece was so...characteristically Southern-Italian? It was wonderful omg

AAAAA there are not enough hours in the day for me to watch movies
