My friend asked me to post this, on behalf of the fellow fans of Haru wo Daiteita.
Hello, “Haru wo Daite Ita” fans and community members,
As you all probably are aware, Nitta Youka has recently announced her intention to continue her acclaimed series, “Haru wo Daite Ita.” We are, therefore, seeking the support of all her fans and readers in our campaign to approach several publishers (at least 3 definite publishers, for the time being) to potentially re-license this wonderful series, in English.
We propose to make an online petition, in addition to contacting Nitta-sensei, as well as the chosen publishers via Email and/or regular mail.
Since, “Haru wo Daite Ita” is now going to be resumed in Japan in the next issue of Be-Boy Gold, we believe that now is the appropriate time to put plans into place to initiate this campaign. The main reason for carrying out the petition is that, “Haru wo Daite Ita” has been and still continues to be a very popular series, captivating a worldwide audience both young and old. This, as we all know, is attributable to the fact that Nitta Youka is an acclaimed author, renowned for her many works.
We are attempting to put this campaign into motion as soon as possible.
Firstly, please do kindly take a few minutes to participate in this simple poll:
Poll Haru wo Daiteita Relicensing Survey Please do take your time in reading through these questions and providing us with useful feedback and suggestions, if possible.
1. It has come to our knowledge that SuBLime (the Publishing Company which has just recently licensed “Kisu Ariki”) did, in fact, consider the possibility of re-licensing “Haru wo Daite Ita”, but unfortunately, it seems that they were unable to obtain permission and the legal rights from Nitta Youka. However, we do not know how much truth there is to this information.
1.1. Can anyone confirm this bit of information?
1.2. Do you perhaps know the reason(s) why she does not want “Haru wo Daite Ita” to be re-licensed?
1.3. Do you think that we can possibly try to contact her and maybe persuade her to allow this series to be re-licensed again in English?
2. As far as we know, there are only a few alternative publishers which we would like to contact:
- Digital Manga Publishing (DMP)
- SuBLime Manga
- Drama Queen
2.1. Do you know of any other publisher which would likely consider re-licensing HWD?
2.2. Which one do you believe would be the most promising in considering our campaign?
3. If we are to go forward with this campaign (in other words; creating an online petition and sending emails, as well as letters to the publishers and Nitta Youka), we would need volunteers to assist us with:
- composing the petition and letters to send to the publishers
- composing a Japanese letter or email to send to Nitta Youka (if possible)
- creating the online petition and subsequently sending it to the publisher, as well as Nitta Youka
- any other further technical matters related to carrying out the campaign
Therefore, we would like to know if there are any persons willing to help us with this. Does anyone care to assist?
Please note that we welcome only constructive advice and ideas. In addition, please leave any feedback by commenting on this entry, or you can also contact us at the following email address, with any enquiries and/or suggestions :

We look forward to your support and hopefully a promising and rewarding venture. Thanking you in advance,
