[First, have the adorable face of a Chimchar staring innocently at the screen! Then have some hands fidgeting around withe guide until it points down to Keiichi (apparently Chimchar is recording this from a dresser) lying on his bed and looking deep in thought.]--An epitaph to revive a witch, huh? That's just too far fetched for me to believe...

So... what was the point of it? Was it really made to revive a witch or get a bunch of gold?

But I do know both the answer to your question and to the Epitaph. [And is not telling either XDDDD]

[HE'S CURIOUS] You do? Come on, you can throw me some hints, right? It won't hurt anyoooone~!

[NEVER TELLING AHAHAHA.] Grandfather believed that only a miracle could bring Beatrice back to life.

[OH COME ON] ... Did Lion-san completely ignore my comment? And that miracle was betted upon solving this puzzle, right?

[NEEEVER TELLING AHAAHAHAHAHAHAH XD] That is correct. Of course, his definition of "miracle" was heavily involved with "chance".

... "Chance?" Personally, I think if you have enough people helping you, you can create a miracle on your own.

I agree. I live aiming for a miracle that it was certain would not happen... But when Grandfather created the Epitaph he believed that a miracle was achieving a goal despite the incredibly low chances of it happening.

He did. But the Epitaph was the most important one for him.

Umm... Do you the reason behind that?
Reply
Because he believed it would bring Beatrice back to him, of course.

Couldn't he had just accepted her loss and moved on with his life? It's one thing to be obsessed over a woman, but you can't be obsessed over it your entire life.

She gave him a reason to fight on, he saw her as the only thing that made this world worthy of living... And many other things happened, but those I am not talking about.
I do find his obsession unsettling, but it wasn't as easy as moving on in his case.

... I see. So his love for her was that deep, huh? Almost as if she was the flame guiding him on when he was in his world of darkness-- Ah, look at me. I'm sounding really corny right now.
