b/c i have time before another meeting
So another chapter of my life has ended, and the new one is just beginning. As many of you have already stated, and read, college kicks high school's ass. It's so surreal to actually walk down my hallway and be able to say "sup" to random people/neighbors that will soon become friends. I love the fact that I can meet up w/ old friends(katie, vijay, dan visited yesterday) and watch Office Space with new ones(roomie, other random guys) at 1am in the morning. I also love the fact that my room is the only one air conditioned of my friends, so we usually crash here.
Yeah, they still make you do the stupid ice breakers and brand you freshies w/ effing ugly shirts, but ah well. Classes start Monday and I'm totally excited to start studying for my actual major; everyone is. I think we're anxious to just get into it, enough of this transition B.S. I want it NOW. It's funny b/c you do learn little tricks that make life easier, and we're all on the same boat so we help each other out.
Looking out my window, I can see the football/futbol fields and the courtyard bellow, I have this feeling of relief, that I'm finally here.
So to the young high school pups, I know a TON of you want college now too, but enjoy high school. College is completely different, better, but some parts are the same. So learn both social and academic skills, you'll be glad you did.
