I'm finally back from Florida. Thank God.

Not to say that I'm happy to be out of Florida and back into this lovely weather we're having here in Michigan at the moment. I'm just happy to be off the road and out of that God-forsaken SUV

Florida sucks and this is why. [exerpt taken from entry posted in 2005]

1. Hot hot hot. For too long. 100+ degrees with 100 % humidity.
2. Lack of seasons. Its hard to tell when things start and when they end.
3. Warm Christmas and Halloweens
4. Roaches, banana spiders, many poisonous snakes, cactuses (cacti?), sand spurs, fire ants, alligators, sharks, stingrays, jellyfish, lovebugs, fleas- ALL of which make being outside a little too stressful for my tastes.
5. Roaches- no matter how clean you keep your house, you WILL have roaches. Big ones, we're talking 2-3 inches. AND they will touch you at some point. My best friend awoke to have one on her neck.
6. Giant grasshoppers
7. Hurricanes, tropical storm, tropical depressions, and tornados
8. Rain so heavy you can't see the tail lights 5 feet in front of you if you're driving, and it happens so often, you will at some point. And the roads flood, because whoever designed them were on crack.
9. Elementary and High schools are sucky. Which only matters if you plan on having kids, because I think most of us are past that point. They let anyone be teachers there.
10. Hordes of old people- they're shitty tippers, slow and TERRIBLE drivers, and just generally cranky/ ornery people to be around.
11. Tons of people from New York and New Jersey, hopefully I don't have to explain this one.
12. Thousands of jackass teenagers from every corner of the country invading your town every February, March and April for Spring Break.
