When my family and I went to Disney World, I was in the sixth grade. I was turning 12 while we were down there, and we went to the Crystal Palace for my birthday dinner. My parents told the waitress it was my birthday (so I would get a free cupcake?)... but then they said I was turning 11. So that they could save money- on my birthday dinner- by paying for a kid's meal. Honestly, I hated them at that moment. I was outraged and humiliated and it made me cry.

I despise lying. And back then, a year was a significant difference. I didn't want to pretend to a whole bunch of people that I was excited to be turning 11. I'd BEEN 11 for a whole year! Oh well.

I realized at about 2 am last night/this morning that I really love fog. Clouds. On the ground. Lovely.

I've spent my time recently looking for a job (applied for 6 or 7 so far and haven't heard back from anyone) because they cut my hours at the pharmacy rather drastically. When I'm not doing that, I'm cheering on Anna Mation at amateur drag queen night, chasing Bob around the yard in the rain, and reading Lolita.
