sports

If you could be in the Olympics (summer or winter), what event/sport would you want to do most? Why?

I'm not one particularly for sports.

I think the closest I've ever come to ever actually doing anything like that was playing Soccer in High School Before my parents died but I sort of quit that. It wasn't that I didn't like the game you understand. I needed it for my extra curricular activities too which was fun but I...ah...

Well.

I suppose I subscribe to the idea of teams. Sportsmanship and fairness and such. Rules too. I had a professor who spent a good portion of a lecture period convincing the up-and-coming next-generation white collar litigators who were on the football and baseball teams that law was alot like a game. Two opposing sides who each wanted something and had to abide by a set of rules to get it.

Oh sure. I see the game analogy.

I just don't like the daily struggle between...well dammit, between good and evil, law and order compared to a bunch of morons criss-crossing the grid iron and slamming into each other like bags of meat because I-

What?

Alright. Fine. I'd run. I jog 'round the resovoir daily along with the rest of the apartment tenants (we look like a marathon when we do it) I think I could do pretty damn well in that.

Because sometimes it is doing well. It's accomplishing things so that the world can see you, it's pounding the pavement. People don't reward failure, why the hell would they do a thing like that? No. Only success is worthy of merit, of the gold and when it comes to success and you have a bad team what do you do? You cast the team aside. Phelps won the gold with a team barely, barely.

We I haven't really been following the Olympics. That's Rachel's department. I'm not much of a sports enthusiast.
