[ooc: Backdated to when Harvey and Gordon first meet with harvey just getting a job in IA. Timeline wise, I'm assuming it's six months prior to the current rp events.]
"Confronted with the choice, the American people would choose the policeman's truncheon over the anarchist's bomb."
-Spiro T. Agnew
Harvey Dent has been trying to get ahold of James Gordon for hours.
No. That's not right. He's been trying to get ahold of him for days. The biggest difference between the world of practical law and the world of defense he is discovering, is that in prosecution People don't want to be prosecuted.
Oh they want to be defended. They want to be defended all the time. They want someone to hold their hand and someone to tell them everything is going to be fine, they want someone to care about them.
They do not want to be attacked. They do not want to be called into question. And this is all just fine but dammit it sometimes needs to happen.
Harvey Dent has a cup of cold coffee and a chair outside the MCU.
The MCU is new. It came into being after batman and has been sitting in his IA casefiles like an impatient toddler screaming for a snack. And like most toddlers, it would have to accept discipline.
Harvey checks his watch a third time just as one of Gordon's cops, a woman named Montoya nods to him, "...He should be out in a minute."
Harvey manages a weak smile, "...You guys aren't trying to get rid of me are you?"
The sudden doubt, the fear in her eyes. They laugh it off as Harvey smirks. Patience? He can be patient. especially in regards to this.
