UM. YOU AREN'T INTERESTED IN KALINDA? IS THAT EVEN LEGAL? Unless you mean Cary, which, I can sort of understand, but I love him and I think he's one of those characters who've grown a lot through the course of the show, and in an extremely organic manner. (Are you all caught up, or did you stop watching somewhere midway?)

Now I am caught up! I rarely give up tv shows, hah. But I'm not particularly interested in Kalinda/Cary, I meant! Cary I sort of like, just because of his ~growth, as you say. I think the writing for Kalinda and the execution don't really match up. Like, she is a) well written and b) well executed at the same time. But writing and execution clash like crazy, IMO, and it bugs me. Love her a whole lot more than Cary though, still.

Hermione is going to have a counter-campaign run against her soon I'm sure because she'd easily win otherwise. And I DO get that, HP is WAY bigger than FMM and it's an easy win for pretty much any character from it; but then it shouldn't be included at all (although it wasn't this year and then it was voted in, so :s)
LOL, okay, your thoughts about Kalinda are confusing to me, but I love every character on the show a lot and kind of think they're the best version of the characters they're written as. SORRY, I JUST LOVE THIS SHOW, I SHALL PROBABLY NEVER BE TOO CRITICAL OF IT. It's kind of like BtVS or Whedonverse in general; I am never critical critical of it, regardless of whatever issues it has. Cary/Kalinda though, OTP, guh.

I've argued endlessly about how I feel it should be run ect. with catteo and waltzmatildah and they shouted me down, basically. So I have decided to chill on this particular issue! ;)
OKAY, I SHALL EXPLAIN MY THOUGHTS TO YOU ANY WAY.
There is script!Kalinda (who is well written and therefore well executed) and then there is some great acting, which is interesting and consistent within itself, by Archie Panjabi* (which is therefore also well executed). But I don't feel the character in the script and the character that Panjabi is playing MATCH. Heh.
*WITH THE EXCEPTION OF HER VOICE, THOUGH. Like, isn't the character meant to have grown up in the U.S? I don't get why English actors and actresses are so crap at training their voices? LIKE JOMO LOL @ HIM. Scottish actors and actresses are so great. Like, I don't get it. I'm not sure I like the fact that network shows have like no one who is classicaly trained. Maybe I do like it. I shall think about it. Hah.

I've stalked the threads on tumblr after the Thanksgiving ep. and I've come across too many posts calling her useless or annoying (often it's confession blogs, but not always). And I won't even start with the fixation on Gillian 'not being as hot' as Alison Brie. ~~
