OMG NEW FIC. And now that I'm done squeeing over the fact that you've written Damon again, and I LOVE THAT image of them, now I can go read it :D

Ok, THIS, wow.

First of all, Damon Damon Damon. This is the best self aware Damon I've read (maybe ever) and he is also the most self aware (I'm predictable in distributing my affections :D)

I love the thoughts you put into his mind :D (That's one sentence I never thought I'd say.)

I love how he's aware of not saving Elena, how he's aware of how over the top in love with her he is, how much he worships her.

I can't quote everything, but he is self aware and it's entertaining and brilliant :D

Especially love how he's aware he might seem like many cliches and done-already stories, but he'll die before he admits he wasn't the first one to do any of the things he does :D

ALSO OMG the beauty of him sometimes doing things because he doesn't have to, because, that's ALL OF HIS LIFE IN ONE SENTENCE <3 I LOVE that it's repeated and I LOVE IT ALL, basically.

BEYOND BRILLIANT.

I LOVE HOW PERSONAL THIS TOUCH IS--i will stop capslock. I will say I loved Caroline because he sees who she is very well, with the no-killing, saving people thing. that's ....beyond lovely and real.

But I loved everything.

LOL Damon's PoV is always much more fun with all the nicknames for things and for people. I loved those parts:
He’s not sure what sort of work anyone in this town does apart from hosting Important as Fuck Town Council Events and dying occasionally.

This made me laugh out loud, and it's not super hilarious, it's just that it's totally her, and I would love to see something like that in Season 4. I can see the scene so well in my mind:
She looks at him like no word in any language could possibly cover how much of a moron she thinks he is, “I told you I’m not going to make her a ring, till she’s learnt to control the urges better. You know what happened last time.”, “I told you I’m not going to make her a ring, till she’s learnt to control the urges better. You know what happened last time.”

LOL: “I see Abby’s back,” he says slowly, it’s a sore topic, but he’s the Sore Topic sort of guy. It’s a bit like Hot Topic, except instead of clothes, there’s him scraping at hidden bruises of barely-of-age girls

This was just fantastic! I especially liked his interaction with Caroline, it seemed very true to how their dynamic really should be, given their history.
