Okay, I'm already sorry about the length. REALLY. I promise that next time onwards, I'll stick to 200 words or less D:

I loved it. I also loved Caroline's cute little 'I love you!' to Elena as she was leaving. So adorable. <3
THAT SCENE WAS SO PRESH. Like, I adore them being teenage girls for once and giggling and being all “love you!” (seriously, that’s pretty much all we do in college anyway).
but I tend to look at all of Damon's interactions with Katherine as being SEEPED IN DENIAL.
Oh, definitely! Like, in canon Damon was in love with Elena at least from Isobel onwards (or well, he didn’t refute it at the time!) but he was still willing to “forget everything” for Katherine as late as The Return and his passive-aggressive divaesque behavior only started after that. (Which, adorable, heh). I love how Damon CANNOT handle Katherine at all, he doesn’t know how to be with her, because he’s severely disadvantaged since she knows he was madly in love with her, so he overcompensates by trying to show her how much she DOESN’T mean to him now. Which might be true NOW, but when he tries to negate all that happened in the intervening 145 years then it’s just totally him trying to equal the playing field and not essentially true!
I love Damon because of his fairly psychotic habits. I will be very sad if show takes them away.
If all he did was protect Elena (or if all Elena did was need protection) then I would not watch this show. I LOVE how everyone is just basically dysfunctional as hell and I’d love to see Elena gain back her agency!
YOUR CRACK!FIC IDEA IS A++++ AND NEEDS TO HAPPEN. YOU SHOULD WRITE IT, NOT EVEN KIDDING. Haha, Klaus’s utter bewilderment at the power of Caroline’s smile is much too awesome to not be explored. And him trying to convince himself he’s still the Big Bad (Spike reference? I’ve never seen Buffy, but I’ve seen a lot of it’s fandom to have a vague idea, haha) by selling drugs to teenagers? OH, HONEY. But seriously, that smile is a force all on its own *nods*

Honestly one of my favorite scenes. I just love the expression on his face when Isobel says it. And the way his eyes sort of slide over to Stefan. "Did you hear something? I didn't hear anything. Why are we all standing around outside? You know what we need? We need alcohol. I'll go get some!" That would be my translation of the look on his face.

You poor deprived thing. But yes, it was a Spike reference. Sort of an unconscious one. That's how deeply into my mind the Buffy phenomenon has sunk. I pull out phrases like 'Big Bad' on the regular. /unashamed

Absolutely, I say the same thing everywhere! I love how Damon's totally this guy who doesn't give a fuck and yet HE wasn't going to tell Elena himself or do that to his brother. I love that ISOBEL outed him (and most of all I love how completely unsurprised Stefan was, he knows his brother better than anyone and he'd seen the signs early on). Also, obvious boy is obvious, this woman, who'd seen him maybe thrice since she returned just totally knew it, heh.

I have been living on tumblr, basically. I've had this journal since high school, but I never used it. Then after 3.04, I fled here hoping for some relief from all the Caroline hate I was seeing on tumblr. AND I FOUND YOUR JOURNAL AND ALL WAS RIGHT IN THE WORLD.

Sheer, unadulterated awesomeness makes it a cult classic. Also Alyson Hannigan's smile helped a lot.
And I loved the 'love you' scene, she's so happy that Elena wants to glue Alaric's chair, awwww.
I knooooow! It's so adorable! I've rewatched that scene like three times, it's so precious. Also, just as an aside, I am not happy with Klaus for interrupting before Elena could do that. I would so want to have seen the aftermath. Alaric getting caught by the glue, finding out it was Elena, trying to ground her, Elena trying to deflect: "Tyler's a hybrid, Stefan's got his emotions off, Jeremy's seeing dead people (and is possibly still on a road trip with Katherine), and Matt tried to kill himself last night! There are more important things happening, Ric!"
And Alaric's like, "True. But you're still grounded. No life-threatening stunts for three weeks, Elena. I mean it."
And Elena's just like, "ARGH! You are SO UNFAIR!" And stomps off to her room to pout.
