YOU NEED TO WATCH.
So SUFBB is aces and you will adore the hell out of it (and Myungsoo is the best. THE BEST.) But I never shipped anything at all in it, so I wasn't super-invested, although objectively, it's brilliant. But you need to come around to 9E2O eventually, k.
Wait, why haven't you considered watching r1994 considering you started all this madness re: us with r1997? Okay, so honest assessment, it's really really good at that nostalgia that the reply franchise does so well. The setting is different and every single character is awesome in their own right and the friendships are just beautifully constructed. But honestly, it's too long, almost double r1997. So if you want to watch a slow-building, slice-of-life thing, this is it, but the husband mystery is a real downer since it drags for twenty one episodes. Besides my favorite didn't turn out to be the husband so I'm forever bitter about it. Like, I was madly in love with him, he was just so, so awesome. ugh.
I WILL I WILL JUST SCREAM AT ME OFTEN ENOUGH AND I WILL I AM JUST SUPER EASILY DISTRACTED AND NEED THREE ALARMS IN THE MORNING TO GET UP DONT GIVE UP ON ME :'(
cant wait to watch my bb on screen finally :') and this show has been praised so much… it better deliver! i'm also really intrigued to see if i ship things, since people seem to either be super invested or not at all.
IDK BRO IDK i guess it's the /but it will never mesure up/ mentality? i didnt even think of giving it a try to be honest. i just felt like it would automatically disappoint. hmmm 21 episodes… that's a lot, i'll have to think about it (translation: if nobody insists that it's a must watch i'll probably forget to watch it OTL)
I WILL KEEP SCREAMING SINCE THAT SHOW BROKE ME. I WILL GET PAST YOUR DISTRACTEDNESS :D
omg, Myungsoo is so flawless okay, like you are going to die. I think his character is the general fan-favorite; because he's an awesome character and not only because L is playing him, which is totally a different thing and therefore amazing.
Shipping in SUFBB is a total gamble, because people are super, super invested and writing amazing, LONG fic (so rare in kdramas) or not really invested in the shipping at all (like Alex and I), SO, YES, WAITING TO SEE WHERE YOU FALL. Altho I think you're going to be shippy, hee.
Ooh, well, that is true, r1994 is no r1997 (the cast of the latter had an in-character cameo scene and I nearly cried) and it showcases some real drawbacks of the reply franchise format, but it's very very good at a lot of things, and gave me one of my favorite boys in recent times (my love for him is endless tbh.)
FEEL FREE TO ADD IN, EVERYBODY, ANYBODY. LET'S WEEP TOGETHER.
