I like how Damon thinks about her as a nuisance most of the time, but still thinks of her a lot. It has to mean something, right? ^^
Also, this is beautifully written!

That was the crux actually :D Since it'd be hard to arbitrarily add in romantic feelings on Damon's behalf, especially after the way he treated her and still seems to be half-contemptuous (their interactions are epic though), it's easier to have him not realize that he's actually thinking of her a lot; more so than he can defend to himself. Oh My God! I can't even describe how much I loved this fic. You captured Damon's character so well. I loved the little undertones of Damon's feelings for Elena and Caroline's for Stefan, but the interaction between Damon and Caroline was so true to character that I actually squeed. I really hope you write more of them.

Thank you so much! :D I'd been re-watching all the D/E interactions in various episodes and then suddenly I fell in love with Caroline (Candice really is adorable). She even makes Stefan smile, how awesome is that? I think what I like most about D/C is that they can fit any genre, they have enough material for angst, horror, humor, romance, comfort, or just PWP, that makes them fun!

YOU ARE AWESOME. And I would've recognized that, even if you hadn't told me because you have a very distinctive style of writing :D Thank you! Oh my god, my TVD feelings are out-of-control. I went from Ian to Ian-and-Nina to realizing that Paul is pretty funny to loving Candice to realizing that Trevino is awesome and that McQueen is adorable. I think they should stop giving awesome interviews so I can stop loving them so much D:
