Wow, am I tired.
So, I have now had my first experience with literally drunk people. The feeling of motherhood that comes from cleaning up puke all night, keeping people from sleeping, rubbing backs, and everything else is kind of cool, actually. And I didn't do half bad taking care of them, either! (HUGE thanks to Mary for being a genius!)
After falling asleep around seven, and being woken up repeatedly until Dyanna came and got me around ten, I went to brunch, but was too tired to eat anything. I got to be the cheerleader for the Westover team at Turkeybowl! That was a ton of fun! And I got to be the "stuff holder" for the team, too. Mike called me the Team Mom... works for me.
I finally got to sleep for real for a couple of hours this afternoon, on freshly cleaned sheets, thank God! I was going to go to the second Westover-at-Turkeybowl game at four, but I felt like I really should get to doing all that work I kept putting off yesterday. Of course, that didn't work. I talked to Margaret for an hour or so, and then Rachel came and got me for dinner. So now I get to do all that work tonight and tomorrow! Yay! (Sarcasm, in case you're wondering.)
The best part of the day ended just a little while ago. I went to see Christian in the performance of Handel's Messiah, which I thought was the one we did part of in chorus junior year. It wasn't, but Messiah is beautiful! REALLY long, but worth it. Especially because the tenor is the coolest guy ever, and the mezzo soprano was in reality a sedated mental patient, I'm sure of it.
And I will finally get to Wal Mart!!!!! Tuesday night, we're thinking. (Thanks a ton, Matt!) It's not so much the fact that we're going to Wal Mart that I'm so excited about... it's more the fact that I'm getting off campus! I like it here and everything, but I'm so used to driving everywhere back home, and I miss sitting in a car. It's like an adventure now. So Dyanna and I will be going on an adventure with Matt in the driver's seat on Tuesday night. Should be fun!
I really hope I get good sleep tonight. Pray for me!
