College Visits/ACT

Obviously it's been a while since I last updated.

I went to NYC for the first time and it was a very cool and different experience.  But it definitely reinforced my belief that I don't ever want to live in the city.  It's also been over a year and a half since Tom and I started dating, which, although it seems like just another number, it's sort of fun to be happy about it.  My family got another car, which is very convenient for me because I get to drive the Accord, which really is a lovely car.  This past weekend I went away on college visits (University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana), ISU and IWU).  It really made the whole going off to college thing seem more realistic.  University of Illinois is still my first choice and it was really difficult for me to think about back up schools.  Needless to say I was not the happiest person when I visited the other campuses after seeing University of Illinois.  Tom said that I looked as though I was going to kill myself.  Speaking of Tom, he has chosen a career that he would like to go into; Computer and Science Engineering.  I couldn't explain to anyone what they do but I know it involves mathematics.  And finally, the ACT is over.  I took it yesterday and am feeling very confident about my score.

I was talking to Devin about visiting colleges and ACT, among other things, this past week and he sort of made me feel better about some of the fears that I have concerning college and... well, let's just phrase it as "connections" with... home?  I'll elaborate on this some other time.

Prom is in about a week and I am quite excited :)
