Since every year falls exactly parallel with a different age for me, I am going to recap the differences of being 20 v. 21. but first let me recap what was great about the year 2005.
-no arrests
-moved into the Tonhawa house
-even though my backpack was stolen, I incidentally found out what the meaning of life was. Yes, 2005 was a great year.
The allure of being 21 is pretty great, but I think that being twenty has some pretty great hidden blessings.
for example:
TWENTY:
-Being Id'd(sp?) and drinking at Bills anyway, making karaoke not only tolerable, but fun.
-Being Id'd and drinking at O'connells anyway, making karaoke not only tolerable, but fun.
-Running through the woods to avoid the cops because you can't stay at the house party that was broken up because you're totally not legal.
-Staying at a house party that was broken up because you can't leave and you've got true friends.
-Drinking beer at a public pool with Lyndsie and Brandon.
-Drinking beer at a public pool with Zach and Nick.
-crowding into a cab with 7 drunken fools and fearing the walk to the cab.
-Being lain into Joe Cappa's bed when he's out of town and knowing that I have a safe place to go.
-Coaxing Nick into using my 7 dollars to buy a fifth of vodka, but buying a pint of Jaeger instead.
-Drinking with Keith.
-Biking a 15 min. ride home in 10 min. that felt like 1 min. and knowing that you've done it again.
TWENTY-ONE:
-ordering a beer at Bison Witch's and not even being asked for an id. (at least Erin payed for it)
