[Parker is a slow loris, and she's trying to avoid being seen as she heads down the hallway to the kitchens in order to find some fruit. Of course, she's hard to miss as Parker, because this adorable little climby creature is swearing like a sailor ( Read more... )

Sirius-as-Padfoot is dogging it around the Barge to see if there are animals in need of assistance. When he finds someone, he switches to Sirius to open doors or lift tiny animals from crevices or whatever else needs done.

He's bounding down a corridor near the kitchens because running is fun when he sees Parker. He slides to a halt and gapes at her, as best a dog can gape.

"Parker?" No one swears like Parker after all. He tilts his dog head to one side. "What the hell are you? A monkey?"

Loud. Loud running noises. Loud running noises make Parker want to start to climb things. Her large hands reach along the flat wall and terror starts to fill up in her chest for a moment. God, she fucking hating being scared. When he stops, Parker tries her best to scowl up at him before he spoke to her, and then she would have rolled her eyes if they could roll.

She'd given herself a headache trying to make them roll last time.

"I'm not a fucking monkey. I don't know what I am, but I'm not a fucking monkey. Howie's supposed to look me up."

"Are you fast? Do you want a ride somewhere? I've never seen such big eyes! You're kind of cute, in a bizarre sort of way." He crouched down so he was more at her level, since he was still an enormous dog and she was a little...whatever she was.

"I can climb, but the fucking problem is that there aren't a lot of trees around." Parker frowned for a moment, and she looked to the ring that was serving as a loose bracelet on her arm.

"Would your warden flip his shit if I had you take me to CES?"

"John? I doubt it. Why would he?" He didn't see what the big deal was. Parker was a Warden, he would only be helping her get there. It wasn't like he was breaking into the place. "He'd probably be glad I'm doing something useful with my ability. The only reason I have it back is thanks to him."

"Fucking magic." She breathed the words softly, and then she sat up on her back feet. Her nose wiggled for a moment, and Parker actually got cuter as she thought about it. One ear wiggled, and then she reached out with a weird-shaped hand to touch him.

"If you tell anyone about this, I'll kill you while you sleep, Scruffy."

He made sure he was hunched down enough for the cute little big eyed whatever to have easy access to his back.

"Don't worry, Parker." If it was possible for a dog to smile, he was doing so now. "I won't tell anyone you rode me."

"Damn right you won't. Besides, if I rode you, it'd be much better than this fucking stupid animal flood." Frowning (which actually made her just look somewhat confused) Parker petted his fur with her padded hands, and then she took a handful of it and scampered up so that she as near his neck.

"Oh this is fucking..." Her words were a groan near his ear. Damn, she wanted Paddy and to be carried that way.Safely, in his pocket.

"Oh, I have no doubt." Yep, if a dog could grin, he would be grinning. Instead, his tongue was just sort of lolling out of his mouth. Once Parker was settled near his neck, he stood at his full doggy height. "If you would prefer I carry you as a person, I can do that. But if we're running into lions or whatever else on the way to the enclosure, I'm probably more threatening as the dog everyone keeps thinking is a bloody wolf."

"Lions?" The animal nature of Parker's loris self stiffened at that, and she grabbed a bit tighter at his fur and tried to make herself as flat as possible. Hiding in a pocket was sounding better and better. "Who were the lions?"

"I don't know if there are actually lions, but this is the Barge. I can't imagine we're all a bunch of dogs and kitties and cuddly what-have-yous. I've seen a wolf and a goat and an enormous brown something with antlers. Cats everywhere." He started to walk down the corridor, not bounding along as he had before. "I'm used to playing with a bloody werewolf. I can handle a lion if we come across one. Just hold on tight."

Parker just went still and chittered for a moment without really saying anything. However, her grip was painfully tight and she had burrowed her face into Sirius's fur like doing so would somehow make herself invisible as brown among black. She made a little noise that may or may not have been a very muffled "hurry up." Right now she was worried about the cats and the lions and the wolves that might decide a furry little critter without any claws might taste delicious.

At what may or may not have been a very muffled 'hurry up,' Padfoot did exactly that. He started to bound down the length of the corridor. Hey, she asked for it. She was already gripping his fur like she wanted to tear it out anyway. He might as well give her reason to hold on.

He bounded up the stairs once he reached them. He counted the flights of stairs until he reached the deck. He slowed down once they were at deck level, cautiously peering out to see what sort of predators might be lingering. Not that he was going to give anyone reason to think he was scared. He would take advantage of everyone thinking his large canine self was a wolf. "How do I get to CES?"

Parker was used to fast things. When she was at home, she drove a porche, and she wasn't the sort of person who ever did the speed limits. If she could have had a motorcycle, Parker would have. Maybe she would when she went back. The chirping sound at his neck became a laugh as he tore through the hallways, but she stopped when they ended up on deck.

"You go up the stairs to the door and then I open the handle." Parker touched the silver band around her arm and nodded into his fur again. "It should be simple."

"Should be," he muttered, because would it be? Would there be a hungry beast of some sort on the other side of the door? He growled a bit in preparation, just in case. He hadn't growled as a dog in quite some time, and he didn't want to be rusty. Then he marched up the stairs and positioned himself so Parker would have access to the handle.

When he growled, Parker squeaked involuntarily, her eyes going wide and her grip tightened. She didn't like the growling. Growling bad. She squeaked again when he positioned himself, and then she reached up and opened the door to the CES before she crouched back down on his head.
