When Irish eyes are smilin'....
I just booked a trip to IRELAND! I feel like shouting and screaming like that little kid in the Nintendo 64 commercial...YESSSS!! YESSS!!!!!! YESSSS!!!!!!!!!! I've been eying this vacation since I first read about it in the Harpoon Brewery newsletter almost a month ago and Tim decided that he would go with me (after much harping on my part). I am so excited. It's going to be in November and it's a 5-day, 4-night "Pub Tour". That's what it's being advertised as, but it's also a lot of touring the country as well. It's pretty much a bus tour, but not one of those Japanese bus tours where you're carted around like cattle all day long. We get to sightsee during the day and the late afternoon and evening is all ours. It goes to Killarney, which is the beer capitol of Ireland, the Cliffs of Mohar, Blarney village, Dingle Penisula and a few other places. I cannot friggin' wait. Ireland...who woulda thunk? And I'm not even Irish. We are going to have a blast. WOO-HOO!!!
Speaking of Ireland...St. Patricks Day has come and gone. I had to work at the yacht club that night, but we went out afterwards. My hands were all stained green from the green dye I was putting in everyones drinks. And I actually decided to drink! After a month hiatus of not drinking...it was time to get back on the wagon. We went to The Wave, in Marion, which I hadn't been to in years. But it's under new management and there is live music every weekend so we decided to check it out, along with a couple members of the yacht club. What fun! For real. We drank, danced, made fun of people, it was a good time. Probably will be going back there many more times, especially since it's so close to work.
Let's see...Ben Folds at Assumption on Saturday....NYC/NJ/Bruins game next weekend...my birthday is in 2 weeks...what should I do? No, seriously. I want to do something. But I have to work that night. Stay tuned...
Let's talk TV for a moment. American Idol...why is Sanjaya still on? I feel horrible for that kid. He clearly knows he isn't made for this show, but it's out of his control as to why he's still on the show. I'm rooting for Melinda and Jordin. I can't stand Blake! He's so arrogant and that beat-boxing thing drives me insane! Do me a favor and shut up. Amazing Race...Charla and Mirna rock my world! And Rob and Amber came in last place last week. That's thrilling. Heroes...I watched all 18 episodes online last week and I am hooked! But of course there isn't a new episode until April 23rd...Grey's Anatomy...George and Izzie?!?!?! WTF?!?!
