The trip to the Bahamas has, so far, been fairly tolerable, especially when compared to the trip we had taken to Hawaii. Though we have done many frivolous activities, I do not feel annoyed nor like I have been wasting my time. Oh, wow! That's amazing. It must have taken you quite awhile. I can see you put a lot of planning into it.

I like how you etched in the stones and arrow slits and even the cliffs and moat. Where did you find the miniatures?

It is important for a castle to have adequate defenses, so I kept that in mind while I designed it. The miniatures I brought on my own; I did research beforehand and doubted I would be able to find the proper guards here in the Bahamas.

Not everyone takes the time to build one properly. You did, and your planning shows. The miniatures really add to the feel.

If you ever visit Japan, you might enjoy Nijo Castle in Kyoto. It's one of Japan's most famous castles with some interesting defenses.

Then they are amateurs. When I do something, I wish to do it correctly.

I do not have any particular attachments to castles, though I would like to see what sort of defenses the Nijo Castle has, if they are worth noting.

No arguments there. If you're going to do something, you need to throw everything into it.

Nijo is best known for its Nightingale floors. It uses wooden tiles that shift slightly and "sing" when walked upon. They were used to guard against thieves and assassins.

That's true. But this methodology was invented hundreds of years ago. It's interesting from a historic perspective.
