It was all a dream, I used to read Word Up magazine...

Okay so I've been flipping out over not knowing what to do with myself regarding school/life etc. When I first got hired at American Express, I thought I would want to stay there for the rest of my life because all the benefits/bonuses, etc, but there is no way I can sit on my ass all day and listen to stupid people talk shit and whine and make bargains on which late fees they're willing to pay and what I need to credit back to them. It's the most draining job ever. In retail you run back and forth in a store all day carrying boxes and dealing with stupidity and whatever, but I'm more tired from sitting on my ass than doing doubles in retail. That's scary. Its just not a job for me or anyone who enjoys the circulation of their own blood.

So ever since I was young I had this girly dream of having my own salon and when I was 15 or 16 I was determined to get my GED and go to school to be a nail technician. Yea, that never happened, butttttt...

I went to Boca Beauty Academy today and enrolled to start a program that combines certification to become a Skin Esthetician and a Nail Technician and they teach you about opening up your own salon. The skin care program teaches waxing, facials, microdermabrasion, makeup artistry, chemical peels, etc. All the fun stuff. And the best part - they have a program that teaches you how to do permanent makeup (tattooing) that I plan to do after I've established myself in the industry. How hard does that rule? Seriously. I'm so excited that in like 4 months I'll be able to leave American Express, make even more money, and be creative and have fun. So boo-ya motherfuckers.
